BYRNA LAW ENFORCEMENT COURSES

T3 .68 cal

This 8-hour training course is designed and offered to law enforcement officers, private security officers, corrections officers, and military personnel seeking to become an END USER trainer of the Byrna series of .68 cal launchers. The train-the-trainer (T3) course was developed to guide present-day law enforcement, private security, corrections and military who are interested in training others in the use of the ‘less-lethal technology’ provided by Byrna.


This course is broken down into five modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has a comprehensive understanding and is capable of conveying the correct knowledge and proper application, of the Byrna platform. The first four modules constitute the “Byrna LE+PS Certification Course”, that the newly certified trainers will utilize to certify officers at their respective agencies. Module five is used only during the Train-the-Trainer (T3) course.


T3 Recertification 2 hrs. (ON-LINE ONLY)

This 2-hour (on-line only) training course is designed and offered to law enforcement officers, private security officers, corrections officers, and military personnel seeking to recertify as Byrna Instructors. This course is broken down into 6 modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has updated information and a comprehensive understanding and is capable of conveying the correct knowledge and proper application of Byrna .68 caliber products.


Target Audience:

The target audience for this course is federal, state, local law enforcement and licensed security officers who are currently Byrna T3 Instructors and need to update or recertify their instructor status. Students will need to provide proof of prior T3 training certification. Byrna Law Enforcement Training Coordinator will verify status. Students will be required to submit documentation prior to being enrolled. Graduating students will be able to certify END USER personnel only.

Byrna Law Enforcement Combat Shotgun Course

This 8-hour training course is designed and offered to law enforcement officers, private security officers, corrections officers, and military personnel seeking to increase their knowledge of the 12 gauge shotgun while on duty. This course is broken down into 4 modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has updated information and a comprehensive understanding and is capable of the safe operation of a 12 gauge shotgun. Lethal and less lethal rounds will be utilized in the course. Byrna 12 gauge less lethal shotgun rounds will be provided. Student must provide live shotguns rounds. Target Audience:

The target audience for this course is federal, state, local law enforcement and licensed security officers who currently or plan to carry a shotgun while on duty. Students will learn tactics and techniques using the 12-gauge shotgun as a lethal option and a less lethal option.

FOX Aerosol Recertification 2 hrs. (ON-LINE ONLY)

This 2-hour (on-line only) training course is designed and offered to law enforcement officers, private security officers, corrections officers, and military personnel seeking to recertify as aerosol chemical agent instructors. This course is broken down into six modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has updated information and a comprehensive understanding and is capable of conveying the correct knowledge and proper application of Fox Aerosol Chemical Agents.


Target Audience:

The target audience for this course is federal, state, local law enforcement and licensed security officers who are currently Aerosol Chemical Agent Instructors and need to update or recertify their instructor status. Students will need to provide proof of prior training certification. Byrna Law Enforcement Training Coordinator reserves the right to deny or accept third party certifications on a case-by-case basis. Students will be required to submit documentation prior to being enrolled. Graduating students will be able to certify END USER personnel only.

T3 Plus - .68 caliber and FOX Aerosol Certification 16hrs

This 16-hour training course is designed and offered to law enforcement officers, private security officers, corrections officers, and military personnel seeking to become an END USER trainer of the Byrna series of .68 cal launchers plus Fox labs aerosol chemical agent products.


The train-the-trainer (T3-PLUS) course was developed to guide present-day law enforcement, private security, corrections and military who are interested in training others in the use of the ‘less-lethal technology’ provided by Byrna.


This course is broken down into 7 modules, each with specific terminal learning objectives designed to ensure the trainer has a comprehensive understanding and is capable of conveying the correct knowledge and proper application, of the .68 caliber platforms and Fox Aerosol.


The first five modules constitute the “Byrna LE+PS Certification Course”, that the newly certified trainers will utilize to certify officers at their respective agencies. Module six and seven is used only during the Train-the-Trainer (T3) course.


TARGETED CAPABILITIES:

The Terminal Learning Objectives of this course are designed to ensure that, upon completion, the trainer has demonstrated competence in the following areas:


  • Use-of-Force law, theory, and practice.
  • Less-than-Lethal device capabilities and limits.
  • The Byrna launchers and Fox Aerosols, their deployment and proper utilization.
  • Successful demonstration, and qualification, with the Byrna launchers and Fox Aerosols.
  • Written Exam

Target Audience:

The target audience for this course is federal, state, local law enforcement and licensed security officers whose agency or department will be fielding the Byrna series of .68 caliber launchers, and Fox Aerosols for use as a secondary (less-lethal) devices, or other approved LEO instructors, certified by accepted governing bodies, to instruct and certify LEO’s in the use of less-lethal controlling tool. Graduating students will be able to certify END USER personnel only.
